My entry into guitar making and repair was natural. I've been playing and tinkering with guitars since I was young. Guitars are hard to put down when they're dialed-in. I want customers to get the enjoyment that I get out of playing inspiring instruments.
Nikau Guitars workshop is in the lower Kaimai ranges, near Tauranga - a great escape from the rat race and a perfect place to focus on guitar craft.

My name is Nick Gladding and I'm a guitar nerd. From an early age I've been a tone chaser like my customers. I love getting the most out of instruments and seeing the connection it gives to the player.
I build custom electric guitars, drawing on 20+ years of design experience and 30+ years of playing experience. I'm driven to deliver instruments that you can't help but pick up, inspiring your unique sound.
