I work with you to optimise your guitar for your playing style & preferences. Adjustments include: String height, intonation, neck relief, nut & saddle refinement, pickup height, bridge & saddle height, tuner care, new nuts, bridges & saddles.

Setups require a new set of strings of your preference.

Basic setup - $80 + strings of your choice

Deluxe setup - $120 + strings of your choice

If you have buzzing issues on certain notes on the fretboard or when you bend, I can help. Because it's your main interface with the guitar, an optimised fretboard can make a huge difference. Fretwork includes: Fret seating, fret replacement, level, crowning & polishing, filing sharp fret ends, fretboard oiling.

Fretwork usually includes a setup, requiring a new set of strings of your preference. 

Basic fret level, crown & dress (includes basic setup) - $250

Deluxe fret level, crown & dress (includes deluxe setup) - $300

I repair all guitars. Typical repairs I offer: Crack repair, binding repair, headstock breaks, fret & fretboard replacement, hardware repair & replacement, tuner repair & replacement, bad or noisy pots, broken connections, pickup replacement, grounding & shielding for less noise. I also specialise in restoration work, so if you have an older guitar that is needing love, I'd be honoured to restore it to it's full potential. 

I specialise in restoration work. There is something about the tone, smells and patina of vintage instruments that make them mesmerising. I think these gems of the past deserve to give joy to players for many years to come. If you have a vintage guitar that is in need of an overhaul from someone who will bring out it's potential while preserving all it's vintage charm, I'd love to sit down and chat to you about it over a cuppa.

The beauty of a custom guitar is that you are involved from concept through to completion. It's an instrument made for you and your playing style. Every aspect of the guitar is carefully selected to ensure you get a balanced instrument.

Two configurable electric body shapes are available. Desired woods can be sourced. Sustainably sourced, high quality wood blanks are also available at my workshop. Builds typically take 3-6 months. All builds start with a consultation either on a call or at my workshop and studio. 

Custom guitars require a 50% deposit upfront and 50% on completion of the instrument. This cover materials and other associated costs.
